Frequently Asked Questions

Most important question. How much?

This really is a side hustle. We are hoping to get enough in rental fees to pay the real estate taxes and cover the insurance. We know our family & friends will take care of our beach house. We hope you will want to come down often.

So to answer the question, $300 per night. You can pay cash or Venmo. We will figure it out upon reservation.

The house has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths. A king-size bed on the 3rd floor, a queen and set of twins on the 2nd floor. The twin beds can be pushed together to create a king-size bed. Comfortable sleeping for 6, but you may be able to squeeze in a couple more.

Are pets allowed?

We love our fur friends! You can bring your dogs, but you’ll be responsible for any damages, (chewing or accidents) or fees if we find fleas. The house is only carpeted in the bedrooms. The yard is fenced so they will be safe to play. Poop bags are provided, please use them.

So you have an elevator? That’s cool, how do you use it?

This elevator has a couple extra steps compared to a commercial one, so here’s how ours works! Press the Call button to bring the elevator to your desired floor. Once it arrives go ahead and open the door and slide open the grate. Once you’re all loaded in, shut the door and slide the grate closed, then press the button for your desired floor.

THIS IS THE TRICKY PART. It’s not really that tricky, but some have had an issue or two with the elevator because of this. When the lift arrives at your floor, WAIT until the elevator stops, then count to 5 to be sure it has completely stopped. It’s now cool to open the grate and exit! DO NOT FORGET to slide the grate closed before shutting the door or you will be locked out!

I don’t feel like washing dishes while on vacay, how do I use the dishwasher?

We totally get it, who wants to get domestic while you’re at the beach? Fortunately, we have a brand new dishwasher, but for all it’s fancy settings we’ve found that the best way (and most consistent…) is to just use the Quick 60 setting. Load her up, insert the dishwasher pod into the slot in the door, the close it up. Press the power button, Quick 60, & start. Close the door, and in an hour you’ll have clean dishes!

You sure have a lot of TVs around the house. And different remotes, what do I need to know about them?

The TVs in the bedrooms are all the same. The remotes are simple enough. Once on, click the “home” button and you will see all the streaming channels that have already been loaded. If you want local channels, click the Spectrum app and the guide will show you what’s available.

In the living room it is a little more complex. The LG remote will get you to all the streaming channels that have been loaded. To get to local channels you will need to use the Apple remote.

Feel free to use any of the apps that are already loaded. If you make any purchases, you will need to pay for them separate from the rental fee.

Where’s all the storage?

There’s storage in the front hallway in the lockers, a shed outside by the backyard, and further storage underneath the house beneath the back entrance. Check them out and feel free to use the beach towels, chairs, coolers, bikes, and beach toys.

A good size panty is located in the kitchen. Most staples are maintained, but please replace items if you use the last of something.

There’s a firepit? Awesome…where do we get wood?

Check the local grocery stores, or convenience stores. Some sell wood by the bundle. We also have skewers in the pantry upstairs for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.

What amenities will be available?

Linens, dishes, utensils, pot & pans, bake ware, coffee makers, air fryer, toaster, blender, spices, binoculars, beach towels, chairs, coolers, & bikes are all available. We have a full size washer & dryer on the 2nd floor (please do not leave wet items in the washer!) There are extra sheets available for every bed.

There is an outdoor shower and a hose to rinse offer after a day at the beach.
